Celebrating early!!

Back a few months ago, when Jenn was counting up the challenges to get sponsors and information lined up, she had a very foggy post-pregnancy brain. She counted up what she thought would have been the 100th post and it landed on today. She, along with Trish-who was also recovering from a post-pregnancy brain, planned a big online party for the challenge blog. However, it was noticed that it is not quite the 100th post, but the 97th post. But, hey!!! We like to do things different around here and we're going to celebrate anyways! 

Each DT member has graciously offered up some blog candy in celebration of our big milestone and if you follow along the blog hop and the instructions you may earn some extra goodies this week. There will be a prize offered here like normal and an extra random prize for a commenter under this blog. WOW! Lots of fun stuff. 

We want to thank all of you for being a huge part of this blog and for showing your support weekly. Our awesome DT members are busy, but they are faithful in sharing their creations with all you card crafters. We love that you stop by and share yours, as well!!

HAPPY 97th BLOG POST!!! 

I created this card for my daughter, who turned SIX years old yesterday!! I can't believe how fast she's growing. :) 

I used Saturated Canary's Ava as my main image. (You can see her as a blond HERE.) I colored her up with my Prismacolor pencils and used my Nestabilities Circle dies to cut her out and give her a mat. The paper I am using is left over from an old Simon Says Stamp Monthly Card kit. My card base is Neenah Desert Storm. 

I didn't put anything on the inside because my oldest and youngest wanted to do the decorating. :) 

 Happy Birthday, P! We love you.

I used this darling image from Saturated Canary called 'Ava'. Isn't she so sweet? I colored her up with my Prismacolor pencils using my favorite, a rainbow theme! I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Black Onyx ink and a Sweet Stamp Shop set (retired). I added Glossy Accents to the balloon. 

This is for a sweet little friend of my oldest. She is a blond, and I hope she likes that I tried to make the image look like her. :) 

I have a brunette version coming later in the month for my daughter's birthday in mid-March.

Here is this week's cupcake...

I used an image from Saturated Canary called 'Nikki' and I colored her up with my Prismacolor pencils and Copic markers. I added a little shine with a gel pen on her blades. I want to add Glossy Accents where the shadows are to act like ice but I don't want to mess up my image. :) I matted the image on Stampin' Up's Basic Gray card stock. The sentiment is inked up with same ink. (And pressed too hard and messed up but oh well.)

I haven't put a sentiment inside yet, as my daughter wants to send this to her new pen-pal and I was thinking it would be a birthday card.

Butterfly Kisses...

This is my last post as a guest designer over at Hanna and Friends Challenge Blog. 

The challenge this fortnight is Butterflies.
I hope you will come over and join us. :)

I used a Saturated Canary image called Butterfly Wishes (or is it Kisses? It's retired either way.) and I colored her up with my Prismacolor pencils and a few Copic markers. All the designer paper is from Echo Park's For the Record paper pad. All my mats and the card base are Stampin' Up's Basic Gray card stock. The dies are Labels 8 from Shapeabilities. 

The butterflies are punched from my left over scraps with a Martha Stewart punch. I adhered them with Glossy Accents and then added more to the blue butterfly and the buttons on her outfit. For the sentiment, I just typed it out on my computer. The ribbon is from my stash; I had just enough. :) 

One the inside, I used more of the paper and the rest of the quote I started on the front. Added a white panel from the same dies for a note and called it done. :)

Apple Cupcakes by iVillage

This is for my goddaughter who started back to school recently. I'm a little behind on my cards because of how sick I have been. It's good to be creating again.

I used this 'Geekin' It' stamp from Saturated Canary. I love Krista's images; they're just fantastic and so much fun to color. I stamped her out with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her up with my Copic markers.

I used Echo Park's Cut and Paste paper pad. My Neenah Desert Storm card base is 5.5 inches square. I used some ABC twill from my stash (you can't really tell because it knotted the wrong way) and tied a embroidery thread bow around my charm to hold it on. I added Glossy Accents to her glasses and button on her shoe.

I am celebrating the birth of a new baby girl. There are so many baby girls coming or that have recently arrived. My blue Copics are getting jealous. 
 

I created this
card using Saturated
Canary's Close to my Heart digi stamp. I colored her up with my
Copic markers. The papers are DCWV's Nana's Nursery 'Baby Girl' and the card
base is Stampin' Up's Sahara Sand. This card measures 3 5/8 by 9 inches and
fits in a business envelope. I like shaking things up a bit with
the dimensions of my cards.  
















I have blog candy I am offering as well but I guess it's going to be a surprise as I didn't grab any pictures. Oops. It's good, I promise. :)

Another 'Oh, Baby!'

Found out that another cousin of mine is expecting a baby in December. Her little girl just turned one in May...braver than me, she is. :) (You can see the mini album I made for her birth HERE.) This card probably looks like THIS ONE because I colored two at the same time. You might notice they have slightly different hair. Still working on that skill. 

All of the details are the same as the card mentioned above with the exception of the card base and mats which is Stampin' Up's Certainly Celery cardstock. No sentiments on this one either.

Oh, Baby!! (SACC60)

Just found out that a cousin of mine is having a girl!! Yea! She will join her big brother in October. I love this image 'About to Pop' from Saturated Canary so much that I just had to make her a card with it. Plus, I got to practice my Copic marker coloring. Still trying to perfect the hair skills. :) 

The card base is Stampin' Up's Almost Amethyst and the designer papers are DCWV's Nana's Nursery - Baby Boy. (I know! Baby boy. Looks very girly to me. :)) The sentiment is from MFT's Twisted Sentiments (retired) set and inked up in Elegant Eggplant.

Inside, I used a stamp I got forever ago in the dollar spot at Michaels. I've since removed it from the wooden block so I really have no idea the company. It's also inked up in Elegant Eggplant.

This card measures 5.5 by 5.5 inches.
