I made really simple gifts for my girls' teachers this year. Not only am I exhausted (from being pregnant) but I have no creative mo-jo at the moment (from being pregnant). Though my mo-jo is back on the rise, my energy level is not and I fell back on the fool-proof gift of personalized notecards. I LOVE making these for friends and special people in our lives.
I used all Stampin' Up cardstock with the exception of the cards themselves. I like to use Michael's notecards. The colors were a rainbow but you can choose any; the possibilities are endless. The SU cardstock is superior in my opinion to anything else out there. I used the colors; Yoyo Yellow (no long available), Only Orange, Real Red, Pixie Pink, Almost Amethyst, Tempting Turquoise, Brilliant Blue, and Wild Wasabi. The only colors still available in this list are Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, and Wild Wasabi though they have great alternatives to the others.
I used the 1 3/4 scalloped circle punch in all the colors. I then stamped the initials in the same colors as the paper on white cardstock and punched those out with the 1 1/4 circle punch. Layered these to pieces, placed the layered piece on pop dots and attached to the notecard. I placed the cards and envelopes in a clear box, added ribbon, and, ta-da, you have an instant home-made gift!
