Hip Hip Hooray!! (SACC59)

This week All Dressed Up is generously sponsoring our challenge.

https://www.etsy.com/shop/alldressedupstamps

The winner will receive 2 digital images. Wow!!

About All Dressed Up
Hi I am Wendy Burns I live in Nottingham UK with my husband and two children who have been the inspiration behind the characters,  in particular my daughter who has kept me up-to-date with blogging and trends.  I work predominantly within the textile children’s wear market, fashion and interiors. I trained as a textile designer and although my work is digital based, I love to retain that hand drawn /sewn feel which I hope comes across in my artwork.
Digital stamps is a new challenge for me and the opportunity to work with the All Dressed Up Team and has been very exciting, in particular the creative way my characters have been given individual personalities by the designers .
All Dressed Up is a newly launched blog with an enthusiastic team who are passionate about stamping.  The coordinators Marilyn and Tracy along with an amazing design team are also known as The Dressy Girls.
We have a friendly Facebook page, regular blog posts, tutorials, challenges and freebies .The stamps can be purchased from the Etsy shop which is updated on a monthly basis.
We really are friendly bunch and would love to see your creations so please feel free to contact us and visit the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog.

Thank you so much for your support, Wendy!

I created this card for ***I can't tell*** who is going to be a big sister! Hip-hip-hooray!!

This image is a FREEBIE over on the All Dressed Up blog. They are really so generous and their images are just adorable!! I am having such a good time playing with them.

I colored up my image with my Copic markers. All the paper is from the Hip Hip Hooray paper pad by American Crafts. The card base is Neenah Desert Storm and the mats are Stampin' Up Coastal Cabana (which match the paper perfectly). I used my Nestabilities circle and scallop dies for the main image and matting, various sized punches for the circles, Stampin' Up punches for the word window and banner, and Martha Stewart punches for the butterflies. The embroidery thread is also Martha Stewart (from a hundred years ago).

For the inside, I used another image and the same paper and matting. This card measures 5 by 5.25 inches; almost square. :) I also made an envelope but forgot to get a picture of it. Maybe I'll add pictures of that later.

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

Last Day of School

It's the last day of school for my two older kids so I thought I would try and make a quick card before the house ceases to be quiet and still until school resumes in August. :)

This image is by From the Heart stamps and so is the sketch. I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils. The ovals are punched using the Stampin' Up oval punch and the circles are from my Nestabilities. I'm using scraps from the Simon Says Stamp kit club (no longer available). My card base is SU's Gable Green. The rhinestones are Hero Arts. The inside is blank because this is a note card and I will write in it myself. :)

Thanks for looking! Hope this finds you happy and healthy.

We salute you.

Before I get to my post, I would just like to thank all those men and women (and their families) out there who are, have, or will be fighting for the country I love so much. Thank you for all that you do.

We had a calm and quiet weekend which hasn't been the norm around here lately. I spent the weekend with my kids and hubby, and a little with my in-laws. :) My kids had to go to school on Monday as a 'bad weather' makeup day, so we celebrated on Sunday with a cookout. Anyhoo, I didn't really get to make much but I had the idea in my head for these cards and wanted to make them anyway.

My two All-American girls!!

There are two special men in my life that are in the Armed Forces and I made a card for each. They obviously won't have it for Memorial Day but might get it by Fourth of July. :)

I stamped my MFT Pure Innocence Soldier Boy (retired) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with my Copics. I used white gel pen for the buttons. The papers are Authentique's "Pride" collection. The card base is Stampin' Up's Not Quite Navy (retired) and the mats are Neenah Desert Storm. The buttons are from my stash (have had them forever but think they are from the Michael's dollar bins, back when they were a dollar) and I added my unknown twine.

On the inside, I added more of the same paper and a sentiment (in Versafine Black Onyx) from the same set.

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

WWDD? (PIO21)

This week let me introduce you to Add a Little Dazzle. If you haven't been to see them yet, you're missing out. :) Wish I had known about them long ago.

They are sponsoring our 'ADD METAL' challenge this week over at the
Pile It On Challenge Blog.

I got several gorgeous colors of metal sheets to play with but what really caught my attention was the fact that they were all silver on the back side. (So, it seems, no matter what color you get, the chances are the back is silver. Like two sheets in one!) I cut out the tie three times with my Cricut and the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. I glued them all together, creating a thicker version of my tie. I embossed my metal sheet first, with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. Then, carefully, I molded my metal around my tie template. I added some popdots (of my own making) to add some depth. The sentiment is from a Winnie & Walter set called 'Leave it to Dad' and is heat embossed with silver Stampin' Up embossing powder.

On the inside, I used SU's Teeny Tiny Wishes (Happy Father's Day) and another sentiment from the Winnie & Walter set as above. Both are embossed, again, the same as above. My kids will sign the card with white gel pen or white crayon. They are really into that right now. :)

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

American Buttercream Frosting by Glorious Treats
Here's my interpretation...a birthday card for a sweet five year old. :)

This image is called 'Butterfly Bear' and it lends itself to this challenge just perfectly. :) So stinkin' cute. I colored her up with my Prismacolor pencils. The cardstock used is Stampin' Up Bermuda Bay, Almost Amethyst, and Elegant Eggplant. I used my Nestabilities oval and scalloped oval sets. The Elegant Eggplant is embossed with my Cuttlebug 'Harlequin' folder. The sentiment is from SU's Warm Words set and stamped in Elegant Eggplant. I attached the crystals using my iRock setter. I haven't added anything in the inside because that will be my five year old's job.

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

Eureka!! (SACC58)

This week Eureka Stamps is generously sponsoring our challenge.

Thank you so much for your support!

I got to play with 'Dragon Blowing Candles'. He's perfect for a birthday card (Stay tuned...I have a "girl" version coming). I colored him up using my Prismacolor pencils. I used white gel pen to accent the spots and nails on my dragon. The card base is So Saffron and Pacific Blue is for the mats. The chevron scrap is from DCWV's Sunday Afternoon collection. The balloons in Versamark are from the SU set, Birthday Whimsy. (I wish I had added more balloons...might have to go back and try to do that.)

On the inside, I used up my scraps and added more balloons with So Saffron ink. The sentiment is from the same set and is stamped in Versafine Black Onyx ink.

This card measures 5.5 by 5.5 inches square.

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

I will go down with this ship... (CIC261)

Before I get into our new challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations, I feel the need to explain my title. Have you ever had an idea in your head and just couldn't get it out as a card? This is one of those projects for me. I knew what I wanted to create and I just couldn't get it to come together. So after the FOURTH attempt, I decided that this was it. Ready or not, I was putting it out there and stickin' by it. :)

This week are sponsored by Meljen's Designs

They are offering our randomly drawn winner FOUR images! Wow.

Thank you, Meljen!

Our challenge for you this week is NAUTICAL.

Nautical Cupcake Wrappers from Styling the Moment
Here's my take...

I got to play with Lots O Love Octopus, and it's he a cutie? :) I colored him up with my Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut him out. (This is card number 4; 3rd colored image used; 2 time fussy cut.) I stickled the hearts with Christmas Red Stickles. My designer paper is Fancy Pants' Down By the Shore collection. I love it but still I had a hard time picking out which papers went with my vision. I've had this paper FOREVER, and I am desperately trying to work through my "collection" of papers. The circles are all cut using my Nestabilities Small and Large Circle dies. The card base and all mats are Neenah Desert Storm cardstock.

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy. :)

Just a little something...

I threw together for a friend's birthday. I don't get to see her much but as it's a BIG birthday (40, but I won't tell Kristy!), I couldn't resist making her a special card.

All the papers are from the Simon Says Stamp Kit from March 2014 (no longer available). I colored my Stamping Bella 'Uptown Girl Paisley has a Prezzie' with my Copic markers. I'm realizing it's time to get a wider variety of colors. :) The sentiment is from one of my favorites, Printworks' Small Tag Lines.

I completed the card with a matching envelope. And used sparkly letters just for the occasion. :)

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

You're Outta This World! (SACC57)

This week Deasy Designs is generously sponsoring our challenge.

Thank you so much for your support!

The team got to play with Space Adventure and I have the perfect need for these images! My girls have tons of birthday parties in the next few weeks, and I know that I will be getting some great use from this set. :) Here's the first card I've created...(forgive me, I'm feeling a bit rusty after not crafting for three weeks. :))

I used the Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit Club for May because it went perfectly with the Deasy digis. I colored up all my images with my Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut them out. That's it. :)

On the inside, I used the leftover scraps and added my sentiment. I will have the girls write in white crayon or pen for the greeting. They'll love that.

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

What is the fox still saying? (CIC260)

Come join us at Cupcake Inspirations for our new challenge!

The Sweet Stamp Shop is sponsoring our challenge this week.

They are offering $10 gift certificate to our randomly chosen winner. Wow!

Thank you so much, Sweet Stamp Shop!

This week our challenge is to use the colors Apricot, Pistachio, and Espresso.

I stamped my image from the 'Foxy' set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him up with my Prismacolor pencils. That's about it. I don't have any apricot paper and very few coloring mediums either so I had to make do. :) This is a small card, about 2.5 by 3.5 inches or so.

(My girls are STILL loving the song 'What does the fox say?' and I while I'm away I left this for them to open. They each got one, hence 'What is the fox STILL saying?')

Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.
