Butterfly Kisses...

This is my last post as a guest designer over at Hanna and Friends Challenge Blog. 

The challenge this fortnight is Butterflies.
I hope you will come over and join us. :)

I used a Saturated Canary image called Butterfly Wishes (or is it Kisses? It's retired either way.) and I colored her up with my Prismacolor pencils and a few Copic markers. All the designer paper is from Echo Park's For the Record paper pad. All my mats and the card base are Stampin' Up's Basic Gray card stock. The dies are Labels 8 from Shapeabilities. 

The butterflies are punched from my left over scraps with a Martha Stewart punch. I adhered them with Glossy Accents and then added more to the blue butterfly and the buttons on her outfit. For the sentiment, I just typed it out on my computer. The ribbon is from my stash; I had just enough. :) 

One the inside, I used more of the paper and the rest of the quote I started on the front. Added a white panel from the same dies for a note and called it done. :)

I scream.

You scream! We all scream for ice-cream!

There's a new challenge over on the Hanna and Friends Challenge Blog. 

For this challenge, we want you to create something 'From the Kitchen'. 

Here in Texas, it is still hotter than hot. I refuse to turn on the oven and heat up the house so we tend to stick with the cooler side of cooking. It won't be long until we are busting out soups and stews but for now, it's still ice cold snacks. Hence, the ice-cream coming 'From my Kitchen'. :)

I used Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit to put this card together. Everything I used was included in this kit with the exception of the vellum, the embossing powder (Stampin' Up) and Stazon ink. This card measures 4.25 square so it still fits nicely in an A2 envelope and I can have a bit hanging off the side. 

I stamped my ice-cream cones out and colored them with my Prismacolor pencils. Then I added Glossy Accents to the ice-cream part and, once that was dry, I fussy cut them out. I used the background stamp included in the set to create the embossed pattern on my oval (Nestabilities) and backed it with vellum. 

On the inside, I used more of the ice-cream cones and put them together in a less structured way.

So sick and tired of...

...being so sick and tired. I have been out of commission for most of two weeks. Between a sick kid and then me getting it, I haven't been able to craft in what amounts to months in my eyes! :) When you are used to doing at least a little something everyday and you haven't been able to craft in almost two weeks, it feels like a VERY long time. But I'm back and on my way to healthy again. I still have a little ways to go but it's a little better everyday.

While I was out,  I missed two of my GD spot on the #99 "CAS" challenge on the FairyTale Challenge blog and the #204 "Special Card" Challenge Hanna and Friends Challenge blog. Here is a card I created for both.

This is for my in-laws' wedding anniversary this week.

I used Lil Inker Designs' set called 'It's today, right?'. I stamped it in Versafine Black Onyx ink and then forgot about that and used my Copics to color in the dress and flower. The ink bled a little bit so I won't be forgetting that again. :) The inside sentiment is from the same set with the same ink. I do love the crispness that Versafine provides for images like this. Makes them look professional in my opinion.

Pet Sympathy (Hanna #202)

This is my second guest designer post for the Hanna and Friends Challenge Blog. I hope you will come and join us in the current 'Animal' challenge. 

















This is an image from Melonheadz Friends. They have such cute images and tons of freebies as well. I hope you will go and check them out.





I colored up my pet (because I think this could be a cat or a dog) with Prismacolor pencils in a very childish way. And I mean that kindly. :) I wanted it to be a very child-like/pet-like card. I used my Shapeabilities to create my shaped card and diecut around my image. The designer paper is DCWV's Sunday Afternoon paper pad.

I am celebrating the birth of a new baby girl. There are so many baby girls coming or that have recently arrived. My blue Copics are getting jealous. 
 

I created this
card using Saturated
Canary's Close to my Heart digi stamp. I colored her up with my
Copic markers. The papers are DCWV's Nana's Nursery 'Baby Girl' and the card
base is Stampin' Up's Sahara Sand. This card measures 3 5/8 by 9 inches and
fits in a business envelope. I like shaking things up a bit with
the dimensions of my cards.  
















I have blog candy I am offering as well but I guess it's going to be a surprise as I didn't grab any pictures. Oops. It's good, I promise. :)
