This is my second guest designer post for the Hanna and Friends Challenge Blog. I hope you will come and join us in the current 'Animal' challenge.
This is an image from Melonheadz Friends. They have such cute images and tons of freebies as well. I hope you will go and check them out.
I colored up my pet (because I think this could be a cat or a dog) with Prismacolor pencils in a very childish way. And I mean that kindly. :) I wanted it to be a very child-like/pet-like card. I used my Shapeabilities to create my shaped card and diecut around my image. The designer paper is DCWV's Sunday Afternoon paper pad.

Monochromatic Glamour (CIC271)
I colored her up using my Prismacolor pencils and it turned out okay for my first time. I admit it, I had to start over two (three) times. :) I was going to color her flowers the same pink as the ribbon but decided it would likely take away from the monochromatic look I was going for (and all that 'sepia' tone I worked so hard to achieve) so I left them white. I think the white embossed oval doesn't make it seem too weird that they're not colored in. All my ovals were cut using my Nestabilities and the embossing folder is Cuttlebug.
The ribbon is from a birthday present my daughter got in March...I'm such a hoarder but I usually hold on to things longer than that so I must be making some progress. :) I think it is perfect on this very girly card.

More teeny tiny hellos...
Another project using Doodle Pantry's Summer Suits. :)
Most of you know by now (if you have followed me any length of time) that I love the color RAINBOW. Yes, to me, rainbow is a color. :)
I colored my image with my Prismacolor pencils and added the sequins at my FIVE year old's suggestion. (A crafter in the making? For sure.) The rings on the bottoms are colored in with my silver gel pen. The card base and smaller mat are Sahara Sand and the yellow chevron designer paper is from DCWV's Sunday Afternoon paper pad. I cut the sentiment on an angle with my Stampin' Up oval punch.
Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

Make-a-Card Monday: A Teeny Tiny Hello
I used a Sahara Sand card base and Tempting Turquoise mat. My image is colored with my Prismacolor pencils. The sequins are from an old Simon Says Stamp card kit (small) and Joanns. My image and mat were diecut with my Nestabilities circle dies.
I punched out my sentiment with my Stampin' Up oval punch.
Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

Happy Birthday, Dog! (CIC270)
Stamp and Create is sponsoring our challenge this week.
They are offering our randomly chosen winner a $25 gift certificate.
Wow! Thank you so much, Stamp and Create!
This week our color challenge is to use ROSE, LIME, and POOL.
Adorable Balloon Cupcake Toppers by Kara's Party Ideas |
I used Wags 'N Whiskers's Buddy's Balloon digi stamp. Isn't he cute? These colors are right up my alley. So perfectly me. :)
I used the Hip Hip Hooray paper pad that I can't seem to put down. I have been using it on everything. I colored my image with my Prismacolor pencils and Copic markers. I fussy-cut the words out of the designer paper. I popped up my front panel onto a Sahara Sand card base.
Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

Nice suit! (PIO29)
This week, Doodle Pantry is sponsoring our
'SUMMERTIME' challenge over at the Pile It On Challenge Blog!
Thank you so much, Doodle Pantry!!
So, I don't know about you but I have honestly not spent a lot of time on Doodle Pantry not looking at their adorable bird digis. I must have had some serious tunnel vision for their feather-y cuteness to miss this awesome set, Summer Suits. (They have a matching flip-flop set, too.) I was so excited about this set, I made two other cards that I will post in the next couple days.
I made this card with my husband in mind. He wears a business suit everyday to work and it was fun to see him in a swimsuit during vacation. He looks good in both though. :)
I used my Nestabilities dies to cut my circle and scalloped mat. I colored my image with my Prismacolor pencils. The embossing was done with a Cuttlebug folder.
The inside was created with left over scraps and another sentiment that came in the set punched out with my Stampin' Up oval punch.
Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

I know an artist. (GD-FTC)
This is my second post as a guest designer over at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog. :)
I hope you'll join me in this 'Super' challenge. There are multiple sponsors and prizes. Lots to win. :)
Here's my project.
I'm actually related to an artist. My brother-in-law is a fabulous art teacher at the Art Institute in Kansas City. And he's making a name for himself around town as well. We go on a family vacation every summer and he couldn't join because he had to teach a summer semester. I thought we would send him this card to let him know we missed him. :)
I used Artemis by Rick St. Dennis. This is my first Rick St. Dennis experience and I must say that it was quite easy coloring up this image. The shading is already drawn in for you so I just added the color with my Prismacolor pencils and a few Copic markers. I used my Nestabilities circle dies, as usual. :) I printed out my own sentiment that I found on the internet. The paper is from Amy Tangerine's Sketchbook paper pad. The card base is Neenah Desert Storm.
I think it looks really cool being all black and white with a colorful focal point.
Thank you for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.

A Snow Bird in July (SACC66)
This week Meljen's Designs is generously sponsoring our challenge.
Thank you so much for your support, Meljen!
I colored my Chubby Snow Bird with my Prismacolor pencils and added sequins from an old Simon Says Stamp card kit to some of the floating snowflakes. I cut him out with my Nestabilities Label 8 dies. I wish now that I had made a card base with the same shape...oh, well. Maybe later. :)
This is a Michaels dollar spot stamp (from ages ago) stamped with Night of Navy Stampin' Up ink.

I am celebrating the birth of a new baby girl. There are so many baby girls coming or that have recently arrived. My blue Copics are getting jealous.
I created this card using Saturated Canary's Close to my Heart digi stamp. I colored her up with my Copic markers. The papers are DCWV's Nana's Nursery 'Baby Girl' and the card base is Stampin' Up's Sahara Sand. This card measures 3 5/8 by 9 inches and fits in a business envelope. I like shaking things up a bit with the dimensions of my cards.I have blog candy I am offering as well but I guess it's going to be a surprise as I didn't grab any pictures. Oops. It's good, I promise. :)Thanks for looking! I hope this finds you happy and healthy.
