Hats off!!

When I saw this new stamp set by Lawn Fawn, it immediately went into my cart. There are so many occasions this set can be used for that I can see it becoming a staple in my card-making repertoire.

In the sun, but there are specs on the window creating shadows on the card.
Laying flat but really doesn't do the colors justice.
Lawnscaping's Challenge #66 is to create a card that is monochromatic. I thought I would have some trouble with this one but it came together really easily. A paper pad by Studio Calico made it super easy. And the fact that there were a few pages with a school theme was an added bonus.

My image was stamped in Versafine and colored with Copics. This was not my original plan so my paper and ink were not good for Copic coloring and bled a little. Next time, I will just redo the stamping.

On the inside, I used Versamark ink to stamp the mortarboards to look as though they are flying up (Do they still throw them at the end of the ceremony?). The sentiment is from the same set. I used some scraps of paper to add "a little something" to the inside; I'm really into doing that now. :)

I am also entering this card in the Tuesday Morning Sketches

Tuesday Morning Sketches

I think I need a new picture-taking setup. If anyone has any pointers, please let me know. :)

Thanks for looking! Hope this finds you happy and healthy. :)
