Rainbow Babies

If you haven't heard about "Rainbow Babies" I am glad for you. Rainbows come after a storm, or in this case the loss of a pregnancy or baby. This quote came from a sweet friend who just had her Rainbow Baby on Friday;

"Your rainbow will come smiling thru.
No matter how your heart is grieving,
If you keep on believing,
The dream that you wish will come true."

 -Cinderella, "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes"

Heartbreaking and wonderful all at the same time. Unfortunately, she is not the mommy I made this album for. My other friend had her Rainbow Baby on July 17th, and she still doesn't have a name! That's 14 days old. :) Love it.

This mini album was made using K & Company's Life's Little Occasions - Brights Designer Paper Pad. It measures almost 10 inches by 5.5 inches. I cut all the letters and numbers with my Cricut using the Doodletype cartridge. You can see the mini album in its entirety HERE.

I layered all the extra scraps to create the covers. *I plan to add her name below and right of the title.

Using Doodletype, I shadowed on kraft cardstock (3x) then added the colored paper letters to create dimension.

Inside pages are rainbow as well. Each month is represented, as well as the birthday (newborn picture) and first birthday party (on the front and back covers, respectively). The numbers were created with the Doodletype as well. Notice the tags? See below. :)

These tags slip behind every monthly photo mat to add the baby's details.

I'm hugging my babies a bit tighter these days.

Hope this finds you happy and healthy.

  2. I just watched Lucy's video on the album you made! It is so pretty and perfect! Though, I'm not sure she knows that the cards pull you yet. Such a special gift! : )
